(Parody of both = “Thanksgiving Eve” by Bob Franke and “Stand” by Pete and Maura Kennedy,=

so let’s call it a co-writ= e! Performed at SAMW Week2 2007)

It'= s so easy to dream of who I wanna be

Tho= ugh impossible to make such dreams come true

But= still yet, don’t forget, a dream’s more than it seems

Whe= n that dream is really happening to you

Chorus:<= /p>

The best way to spend my days = is to sing and play

Let my dreams guide my heart; = show the way

May music fill every moment of= my life

I’ll play til they drag me away

Play til<= /span> they drag me away

Thi= s world here is more real than your daily ordeal

It = will always be the better part of you

Gos= pel horses will run, they will help you dream and fe= el

Let= music overpower all you do

Chorus

And= so friends, before I end, my request, not a demand

Per= haps it’s a humble supplication

So I planned, you’re the band, it’s so grand, come on now stand

It&= #8217;s a cheap way of getting a standing ovation

Final Chorus:

Com= e on and Stand,

Com= e on now stand,

Com= e on and stand

Pla= nt your sword in the sand

In = this age of unreason

The= re’s a time and a season for love

Sta= nd

Fin= al Verse:

All= ah, Buddha, Yahweh, Jesus, Brahma

Peo= ple get ready there’s a train that’s coming

Many different legends, just one story

All= aboard the train that’s bound for glory

Int= ro:

You= may think that this is the eve of going back to the real world. But if you say = that to Bennett Hammond he will say, “No! This is the real world and that other world is just the other world. So, this is “Other World EveR= 21;, my tribute to Bennett and Lor= raine, Dick, all the instructors and students, and especially my co-writers, Bob F= ranke and Pete and Maura Kennedy”.

Thanksgiving Eve<= o:p>

Words & Music= by Bob Franke

It's so easy to dream of the days gone by

It's a hard thing to think of the times to come

But the grace to accept ev'ry moment as a gift

Is a gift that is given to some

Chorus:

What can you do w= ith your days but work & hope<= /b>

Let your dreams b= ind your work to your play

What can you do w= ith each moment of your life

But love til you've loved it away

Love til you've loved it away

There are sorrows enough for the whole world's end<= /o:p>

There are no guarantees but the grave<= /p>

And the life that I live & the time I have spent

Are a treasure too precious to save

As it was so it is, as it is shall it be

And it shall be while lips that kiss have breath

Many waters indeed only nurture Love's seed

And its flower overshadows the power of death=
